Troubleshooting: Testing the DigiStep™ Temperature Controller

If you think your controller is not functioning, please run through the following steps before starting an RMA.

Check Power

  • Check mains socket is active.
  • Check fans are active when plugged directly into mains socket.

If fans and mains socket are functioning normally

  • Set up controller as per User Instructions.

If there is still no power to controller

  • Disconnect from mains and check/replace fuse in mains plug of controller, and if applicable, check/replace external fuse located on the outside of controller.

If there is still no power to controller

  • Start RMA.

Check Fan Speed

  • Set Minimum Fan Speed to 1 and Maximum Fan Speed to 5.
  • Turn Temperature Dial to 10 degrees.

After a short time, fans should start to step up to Maximum Fan Speed.

  • Turn Temperature Dial to 45 degrees

After a short time, fans should start to step down to Minimum Fan Speed.
If this does not happen

  • Start RMA

Check Night-Pulse™

  • Check feature is activated as per User Instructions.

Every hour or so throughout the dark cycle you should hear fans increase in speed for a short time, then the speed should decrease back to Minimum Fan Speed.

  • Check feature is deactivated as per User Instructions.

Fans should remain at Minimum Fan Speed during dark cycle.
If this does not happen

  • Start RMA
